Why good writing matters so much to me and why my writing should matter to you

Writing had always been a fundamental part of my life. Ever since I could write, I have been writing, and writing and writing until my fingers hurt. Writing is important to information spreading, storytelling, documenting and so many other essential communications of life. It is essential that we maintain entertaining and ethical writing styles to continue evolving as society.
My favorite forms of writing is poetry and songwriting. Often, poets and musicians are people who find a way to talk about life, experiences, or phenomena in an artistic way. That is who I strive to be. Reading poetry and listening to music has personally helped me to feel understood, seen and most importantly acknowledged as a human being.
Even beyond the limit of songs or poems, good writing can provide people with these feelings. Good writing can allow for people to escape the harshness of life into a fictional paradise. To provide people with relief from hardship with the use of words, is a beautiful skill to have. Providing this to others is a dream of my own.
Good writing is power and an essential tool to knowledge. Oftentimes to know something, you must read about it. Books about our history, our science, our government all matter to allow people the ability to create change. The documentation of events allows us to learn from them and sometimes avoid trauma from recurring. I know I am not alone in my growing anxiety surrounding these forms of writing. With banned books, efforts towards curriculum restrictions and fake news, factual information seems equally rarer and more needed now more than ever.
My writing is flawed, undoubtedly so, but it is authentic and, most importantly, me. I involve facts and feelings, logic and emotion, history and contemporary because all of these relate to how I navigate and understand the world. I hope for you, reader, my blog encourages you to write your own words, question mine, and maybe escape to paradise every now and again.
Until next post...
Love and Light,
Kadaysha
